Meet Catarina. Catarina has just turned 1 year old! She was diagnosed with citrulinemia type 1 through newborn screening. She has been very stable since the diagnosis, with medication and metabolic formula and low protein diet. She is the happiest baby. She loves baby swimming lessons, she loves to play with dolls, and loves to read books with mom and dad. Mom and dad are doctors, dad is a gastroenterologist and mom is an ObGyn. Catarina's favorite foods are bananas and rice.
