Abstract Requirements

By submitting an abstract, you attest to the following:

1) Authorship

  • An individual may be first (presenting) author of a maximum of two abstracts. However, there is no limit to the number of times an individual may appear as a co-author on abstracts.
  • The presenting authors are expected to attend the meeting.
  • The presenting author will need to confirm agreement from all co-authors and those involved in the work when submitting the abstract.

2) Conflicts of Interest

The presenting author will be responsible for disclosing the presence or absence of conflict(s) of interest/financial disclosure(s) for all authors. When an actual or perceived conflict of interest is present, the presentation should include information about the conflict. Disclosures of financial relationships may be listed in the symposium printed materials and/or website.

3) Approval of Research

  • All investigations involving animals reported in abstracts must conform with approved principles of the care and use of animals in research.
  • All human subject research should have been approved by Institutional Review Boards and other required regulatory bodies, as applicable, and informed consent should have been obtained from participants or their legal guardians/parents.
  • If any participant level data or identifiable data are being presented, the presenting author should confirm that informed consent has been obtained for presenting such data.

4)    Acknowledgement of Potential Publication

  • This submission may be posted on the symposium website.
